Top chefs line out for Herald food fest

THE festival season is nearly over but Dubliners will have one last culinary hurray before August is out.

Some of the countries top chefs are lining up to 'Eat To The Beat' at the launch of the inaugural Dublin Bay Taste and Music Fest.

The exciting new event, organised in association with the Herald, will feature a boulevard of culinary flavours to tantalise your taste buds.

It will include live entertainment including performances from Flash Harry, Bagatelle, Niamh Kavanagh and The Illegals.

Big names taking part include Martin Shanahan, Kevin Dundon and Derry Clarke.

The event, which runs from Thursday, August 25 to Sunday, August 28, will be set against the backdrop of The People's Park in Dun Laoghaire.

Speaking at the launch, Dublin Bay Taste & Music Fest Director Connie Cunningham said: "We are very privileged to be working with some of Ireland's top chefs to bring all food lovers a dream event, in the beautiful Peoples Park.

"Events such as this one play a key role in attracting visitors to Dublin and Ireland -- even more importantly they encourage them to return year after year."
