tonight's the night for trap's army

ALL eyes are on Ireland as they take on the best team in the world tonight.

So it's not surprising some downtime was in order for the team yesterday afternoon.

Players were in relaxed form as Trapattoni gave the squad some time to relax and unwind -- and they also got to meet Snow Patrol, who were performing in Gdansk last night.

The band popped in to offer their support to Trap and the squad, happily posing for photos.

Beforehand, the squad relaxed with board games, simulated golf and table tennis.

John O'Shea and Stephen Hunt enjoyed a game of Connect Four, while Stephen Kelly and Darron Gibson played table tennis. Marco Tardelli played a spot of golf while Darron Gibson faced another challenge with Shane Long at air hockey.

Snow Patrol's frontman Gary Lightbody, who is from Co Down, said the band were only too happy to meet the squad.

"It was a chance to meet the team so we grabbed it with both hands. We should be very proud of them," he said.

"I'm a Northern Ireland supporter for sure. But the Republic of Ireland are in this tournament and I'm getting behind them," he added.
