Tiger five may face charge

THE Director of Public Prosecutions is considering if charges should be brought against five more suspects into the record €7.2m 'tiger kidnap' robbery.

Gardai have recommended the five should face charges arising from their investigation into the biggest bank heist in the State's history, which saw €7.2m being taken from the Bank of Ireland branch at College Green last February.

Senior officers have recently sent files with the considerations to the DPP.

The new files to the DPP say the five be charged with either handling stolen money or obstructing the prosecution of another person.
