Thrones star gets all steamy with m'lady

Game Of Thrones star Richard Madden will play the title role in a new TV adaptation of DH Lawrence's sexually-explicit tale Lady Chatterley's Lover.

The actor, who played Robb Stark in the hit fantasy show, will play gamekeeper Oliver Mellors, with Holliday Grainger as the aristocrat Lady Chatterley who embarks on a passionate affair with him.

Happy Valley star James Norton plays Lady Chatterley's war-wounded husband Sir Clifford in the 90-minute drama, which was written and directed by Line Of Duty creator Jed Mercurio.

Mercurio said: "I'm hugely flattered that such a fabulously talented young cast will bring these iconic roles to life."

Lawrence's groundbreaking novel was published in the UK in full only in 1960 following a landmark trial which saw publisher, Penguin, accused of breaking obscenity laws.
