Three held over murder

THREE men remain in garda custody today over the killing of a man shot 10 times as he sat in a car.

Aidan Byrne (31), a father of one from Dublin's north inner city, was shot as he sat in the passenger seat of a Toyota Corolla on Drumalee Avenue off the North Circular Road, Dublin on February 20.

He was fatally wounded after arriving by car to the cul-de-sac.

Byrne, from St Mary's Mansions, had been warned by gardai on a number of occasions that his life was in danger.

Four men were arrested in Dublin yesterday morning and three are still being held.

Three of the men are aged in their 20s and one is in his 30s. One of the men, in his 20s, was released from the Bridewell Garda Station.

A 25-year-old man has already been charged with Aidan Byrne's murder.
