This is about as close to sex as GAA gets, Dublin vs Kerry. . .

I watched the Dubs play Donegal and what a dreary, mind-numbing bore-fest it was.

However, all's well that ends well. The Dubs' triumph has set up a mouth-watering clash with my own beloved Kerry in September.

GAA don't do sexy but if they did, a thrilling match the like of which we're all hoping for is about as close to it as you'll get.

The match promises to be the highlight of the year for fans. I am thrilled the Dubs have made it. After all, they have been in the wilderness since 1995 and God knows, we miss the colour, the enthusiasm and the glamour the team and the fans bring to the scene.

Already in Kerry, seats in Croke Park are becoming as rare as hens' teeth. Win or lose, we know the Dublin-Kerry clash will restore the tarnished image of Gaelic football, and not before time. May the best team win.
