A DUBLIN man who shoplifted baby monitors and clothes from a maternity store has been given a three-month suspended sentence.
Gavin Hudson (33) was on a cocktail of crack cocaine and other drugs when he took the goods.
Judge Michael Coghlan suspended the sentence for a year after Dublin District Court heard he had paid compensation for the theft.
Hudson, with an address at O’Sullivan Avenue, Ballybough, pleaded guilty to stealing goods worth €238 from Mothercare, Blackrock Shopping Centre on June 19, 2013.
He also admitted a separate charge of stealing 11 Ireland jerseys worth €254 from the tourism office on College Green on September 13, 2012.
