The funny, clumsy girl with the wicked sense of humour

VIVACIOUS Jill Meagher was the kind of woman who literally slipped on a banana skin and collapsed into kinks of laughter.

Everyone who knew Jill knew of her wicked sense of humour.

She was "funny" and "clumsy" but had a serious sense of style, mourners were told.

The talented young woman had planned to write novels and comedy shows.

Her best friend Aoife described how Jill was the funniest person she ever met.

"She is the only person I have ever met who has actually slipped on a banana skin. And she was proud of it," she said.

"She had this amazing ability to laugh at herself and I really admired that about her."

Jill's husband Tom Meagher said Jill (29) was always looking for the humour in everything and she was happiest when she was "making others laugh".

And her brother Michael said that when he and his sister got together, they could be particularly boisterous.

He said that just two weeks before she disappeared, they were at their parents house, blasting Mama Cass Elliot's Make Your Own Kind of Music repeatedly in the early hours of the morning.

"She put this song on at about 2am and was singing away at the top of her voice.

"She will be with me when I play this song every morning for the rest of my life."
