A 15-YEAR-OLD boy arrested over a seizure of nearly €4,000 worth of cannabis and cocaine was remanded in custody for a further week yesterday at the Dublin Children's Court.
The teenager, who had been remanded in custody earlier for breaching bail conditions, is charged with possessing the drugs for sale or supply at James's Street, Dublin, on August 12 last. A plea has not yet been entered.
Judge John O'Neill adjourned the case for a week.
Accused youth kept in custody
A YOUTH was remanded in custody yesterday after he was charged over an attempted robbery of a man in south Dublin last Sunday.
The teen had been due to appear in court next week on charges which relate to trespassing, criminal damage and violent behaviour. Judge John O'Neill granted legal aid, but refused bail. The teen was remanded in custody to appear again today.
Haiti to release missionaries
A Haitian judge said he would probably order the release of the last two American missionaries detained for trying to take 33 children out of the country after the earthquake.
Judge Bernard Saint-Vil said he expected to resolve the case after a hearing this afternoon. Eight other Americans detained with them have already been released.
