A TEENAGER has been accused of taking part in a burglary where a gang allegedly tried to force their way into the home of a south Dublin couple.
The Dublin Children's Court heard how a woman dialled 999 as her husband tried to keep out raiders who began to rip their front door off its hinges.
The case was deemed too serious for the juvenile court, where yesterday the 17-year-old was returned for trial to the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. He has not yet entered a plea and was remanded on bail pending his next hearing on July 31.
