Teen accused of BMW attack

A DUBLIN youth has been charged with assaulting a teenage boy he allegedly tried to run over with a BMW 4x4.

Christopher O'Neill (18), of Larkhill Road, Whitehall, was charged at the Dublin Children's Court with assaulting a 17-year-old boy at Swords Road, Santry, on August 1.

O'Neill was a juvenile at the time of the alleged incident but has since reached adulthood and has not yet indicated how he will plead to the charge. Judge Ryan remanded him in custody to appear again next week.

Landslide kills

18 children

All 18 elementary school students buried in a landslide were confirmed dead, while one other person remained missing a day after the hillside collapsed and smothered part of a village in southwestern China.

Rescuers recovered the last of the 18 students' remains, about 18 hours after the landslide smothered the Tiantou Elementary School and three farmhouses in Zhenhe village.

A person from one of the houses was missing, and an injured person was in a hospital in stable condition.

American Airlines is cancelling dozens of flights as it scrambles to fix seats that could pop loose during flight.

Airline officials said they had come up with a fix for the seats, and they began pulling 48 Boeing 757s out of service to make repairs.

American Airlines said the work caused it to cancel 94 flights.

Since last week, seats have come loose on three American Airlines flights.

Jay-Z is live-streaming the last of his eight concerts at New York City's Barclays Center for the launch of his new YouTube channel.

The rapper's performance at the Brooklyn sports arena will air on his new Life And Times channel in the early hours of Sunday.

Jay-Z's new channel is part of an original programming initiative by YouTube, owned by Google.

Life And Times promises a lineup of "in-depth lifestyle pieces" based on the tastes and interests of Jay-Z.
