US technology firm Dropbox will base its international HQ in Dublin, after signing an agreement to lease office space in the capital.
The company offers users free so-called "cloud services" that enable them to share photos, videos and documents across the internet from anywhere in the world. It has 175m users.
The company has been looking for a Dublin base for some time. Its decision to base its international arm here will be welcomed by the government. It has leased the office space in Hatch Street.
A raft of hi-tech US firms have international bases in Dublin, including Google, Facebook and Twitter. Yahoo and Amazon have also agreed to rent office space in the city.
