RUGBY star Jamie Heaslip has been lined up to speak at the fifth annual Dublin Web Summit later this month.

The Leinster captain (left) has agreed to discuss the intersection between sport and technology at the event.

The two-day summit is highly regarded with around 10,000 people expected to attend when it kicks off in Dublin's RDS Simmonscourt on October 30.

Heaslip, a long-time supporter of the Web Summit, has developed many entrepreneurial interests outside of his glittering rugby career, most notably in tech.

Heaslip leads the national team in the November tests against Samoa, Australia and New Zealand, in the Guinness Series.
