St Mark's Youth and Family Centre is branching out and landscaping areas in Fettercairn to brighten up the area.
The Community initiative, known fondly as 'The Farm', has been cutting the grass and planting flowers in some parts of Kilcarrig Avenue.
"It's great because we all work together," Bobby Page from the centre told the Herald.
The farm had a new member of staff on hand recently. Ben Kee-gan (22) was on a training programme in Cheeverstown Training Centre when The Farm agreed to take him on.
"He got on really well with us here, he really fit in. It would be great to take on more people on work experience," Mr Page said.
Francis Lambe, who works with Ben, said that the farm was a "goldmine" in the area.
"It really is an example for people from different communities," she said.
The collective grows a range of vegetables and is home to donkeys, geese and pheasants. At the moment there are a number of summer projects and camps happening at the centre.
