HER Miss World dream didn't come true so Holly Carpenter is turning her hand to art instead.
The model has now become a paid artist after her impressionist-inspired painting went on sale at a top exhibition, the Herald can reveal.
The 19-year-old is adding another notch to her career belt, by showing off her creative side at the ART250 show in Dublin. Holly made her artistic debut at the Urban Retreat Gallery last night, after teaming up with over 150 celebrities who anonymously put their works on display.
The Raheny native, who has taken a year out from her textiles and design course in NCAD, saw her Peacock painting "hidden" alongside 150 other pieces at the event, all selling unidentified works at €250 each.
"I think it's cool that all the work is anonymous, that way there are no preferences and no one goes looking for a piece by one particular artist," the AR beauty told the Herald. "I was delighted to get involved in the exhibition because art is a huge part of me and who I am -- I usually work with textiles so to get the opportunity to paint again was lovely," said the brunette, who came up with her piece on a rare day off.
"I'm happy enough with how it turned out, I wanted a very colourful and bright impressionist piece -- something that was loud and confident looking," she said.
