SUPPORTERS of Sean Quinn may hold their next rally outside Dail Eireann, organisers have said.
Patricia Gilheany organised a rally in Co Cavan last night which saw more than 7,000 people from across the country show their support for Mr Quinn in a week when he may join his son behind bars.
"We wrote to every TD and every senator asking them to come here to show their support for justice and 98pc of them never even responded," she told the crowd in the centre of Ballyconnell.
"Perhaps it's time we took our message to them, to Dublin."
Tyrone GAA manager Mickey Harte, Donegal's assistant manager Rory Gallagher, as well as business people from north and south, were among the speakers at the event organised just days before Mr Quinn could be jailed for contempt of court.
They heard Sean Quinn's daughter Ciara claim that the companies once owned by her and her family were being run down, with jobs losses going unreported.
"It is heart-breaking for me and my family to watch the destruction of our companies," she said, her father nodding in agreement behind her."
