ANOTHER year, another Leaving Cert results day.
As per usual, it's been one of nerves and hype for thousands of young people.
Many of them, sadly, will define their success by the number of points they get.
It is incredible that -- almost a century after Padraig Pearse -- this country is still running a 'murder machine' in education.
It is astounding that a single set of results, from what's basically a memory test, will define the rest of the lives of many young people.
For the high scorers today, my congratulations.
To those disappointed it goes without saying that it is not the end of the world. There's always more than one path to the summit of the mountain.
