Spanish air chaos

Aer Lingus has been forced to cancel a number of flights to Spain due to transport services strikes in the country.

It said that 12 of its flights would be cancelled tomorrow and passengers who have booked are being notified of the cancellation by email and SMS.

The flights which will be hit are between Dublin and Barcelona, Malaga and Madrid.

The airline is also cancelling flights between Gatwick and Malaga, as well as between Madrid and Washington.

For those customers whose flights have been cancelled, or those who elect not to travel, Aer Lingus has now activated a change-for-free and refund request facility.
