A BOY who was 10 when his white supremacist father was shot in the head and killed while he slept is standing trial for murder.
Jeff Hall was shot to death in his home last year. He was a regional leader of the National Socialist Movement who led rallies at a synagogue and day labour site.
Prosecutors in California want a judge to find that the boy murdered Hall and keep him locked up as long as possible. They cite a history of violent behaviour.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Michael Soccio says he does not believe Hall's white supremacist beliefs caused the boy to kill him.
