Small firms welcome new minister's help

SMALL business representatives have welcomed the appointment of John Perry (right) as minister for small firms.

ISME and the Small Firms Association said that they were "delighted" that the new Government has shown a commitment towards small business.

And Avine McNally, director of the Small Firms Association, called on the minister to introduce a National Entrepreneurship Strategy. "Through this appointment the Government has recognised the critical role that small firms play in the Irish economy and a minister with responsibility for small firms will ensure that the correct environment is created that will support indigenous businesses," she said.
