A STOLEN car overloaded with six young men was involved in a three-car collision after the driver dangerously tried to undertake another vehicle.
The six men, aged between 15 and 20, were arrested following the incident, which happened just after 6.40pm in the village of Termonfeckin, Co Louth, yesterday.
The vehicle, a Mercedes C180, was stolen on Monday in Drogheda, Co Louth.
It is understood the Mercedes tried to undertake another car, but mounted a narrow footpath and hit a wall.
It then bounced back on to the road in front of the Ford it was attempting to undertake.
The Ford then collided with a Toyota Landcruiser. It was occupied by a lone male driver who was uninjured.
Two occupants of the Ford, a man and a woman, were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda, with minor injuries.
The six males were taken to Drogheda Garda Station.
