A Scottish MP said Scottish independence would be good for Irish businesses.
Angus Brendan MacNeil of the Scottish National Party said firms here should have nothing to fear if Scotland voted to leave the UK.
"A Scotland that has increased opportunities and increased prosperity should be useful for Ireland," Mr MacNeil said.
"There's something like a quarter of a million jobs in the UK dependent on a successful Republic of Ireland. It goes to show the interlink nature of our lives."
