Scots facing vote on independence

Former First Minister Alex Salmond has said that a second referendum on Scottish independence is "inevitable".

Speaking on BBC 1's Andrew Marr show, Mr Salmond said the only question is when the referendum would take place.

"A second independence referendum is inevitable. The question is the timing, and that is in the hands of (First Minister) Nicola Sturgeon," he said. "The vow was about devo to the max. That has not been delivered."
