Santa calls for help at DSPCA's sanctuary

SANTA has put out an SOS for help at the DSPCA animal shelter in Rathfarnham.

He needs brothers, dads, nephews and uncles to join the volunteer team for the Santa Experience at the shelter in Mount Venus Road.

A grotto is being built, and Santa plans to be there every Saturday and Sunday in December up to Christmas.

Children will learn the story of how the DSPCA helped an injured reindeer the night Santa's sleigh crashed.

Teams of elves and story-readers are already helping, but extra people are needed.

They can contact Barbara O'Neill on volunteer@dspca.ie or call 01-4994706.

Santa arrives on December 1 and will be there from 12 to 5.30pm. He will also be there on December 7 and 8 from 10.30am to 5.30pm and on December 14, 15, 21 and 22, from 9.30am to 6pm.
