LUXURY car maker Audi increased its market share in Ireland to 6.3pc in July.
There were more than 106,000 cars delivered worldwide, an increase of 16pc annually. And as sales continue to climb in the biggest export markets of China, the US and the UK, there was also an increase in Ireland.
"These excellent July results come on the back of record operating profits for Audi globally of €2.5bn for the first six months of 2011," Andrew Doyle, director of Audi Ireland, said.
"Despite a challenging market, in Ireland, we have continued the growth trend for the first half of the year, aided by new model launches, but, more importantly, benchmark customer service."
