Irish model Roisin Jackman has been named Curvy Model of the Year by Every Model magazine, which is one of the modelling industry's leading publications.
Roisin (26) is represented in Ireland by the Andrea Roche Model Agency and she has now landed a contract with Hughes Models - who are the leading agency for plus-size models in Europe.
The Wicklow native has put herself forward for a number of competitions in the hopes of gaining a name for herself as a model.
She entered into the competition by Every Model magazine, which was hoping to find new talent.
There were five categories of models in the competition and Roisin beat thousands of other hopefuls in the plus-size, or curvy, section.
"I certainly wasn't expecting to win because the other girls were so beautiful," Roisin said.
"I must admit that I became a bit emotional. I was delighted that my mother Johanna and my sister Aileen were there to celebrate with me," she added.
Roisin, the youngest of five children, is a sister of the well-known former Leinster and Ireland rugby international Bernard Jackman.
She was more delighted with her recent win as last year she was voted runner-up in the Simply Be Miss Curvy competition.
There were over 5,00 entries to be the new face of the plus-size fashion brand and Roisin beat off the contenders to make it to the final 19 and then placed as a runner-up.
"I like to show off my curves, there's no point hiding them," she said.
The blonde beauty is busy with her work with the AR agency and also her day job as an occupational therapist.
"It's all surreal at the moment. When you grow up being a big girl, you never think that anyone would want to take your picture. This feels very special to me," she said.
