Irish rugby hunk Rob Kearney is head over heels about his new girlfriend, and is particularly protective of her in the limelight.
The Leinster star has introduced new beau Jess Redden to his rugby pals and the two had a date night in the box at a Hozier gig in the Olympia theatre earlier this week, along with Rob's brother Dave and teammate Cian Healy.
The two have been dating for several months and are reportedly mad about each other.
Rob previously dated Footballers' Wives star Susie Amy (33) for over three years and hasn't been publicly linked with anyone since.
So it's no surprise Rob was protective over his new Dublin girlfriend, according to pals.
"It took Rob a while to introduce Jess to everyone," a source said. "But he is completely smitten with her.
"He was simply protecting her from the spotlight because it's still relatively early days. She's a bit younger than him, but he's completely mad about her."
Earlier this summer, Rob was linked to MTV presenter Laura Whitmore when the two were spotted backstage at Electric Picnic. But the full back dismissed rumours that they were more than just friends as "totally untrue".
Rob (28) stepped out with his brother Dave for the hottest gig of the season at the Olympia theatre, expected to be Hozier's last in such an intimate venue.
Former Alexandra College student Jess was dressed to impress against the cold weather in an all black ensemble with a faux fur stole over a cute black dress with white colour.
The eldest Kearney introduced his 21-year-old girlfriend to the spotlight last week after Ireland's victorious match against Australia and the two were spotted beaming as they left the team's base at The Shelbourne Hotel, arm in arm.
Meanwhile, Hozier was doing his bit for charity yesterday to help Tubs, Dobo and Nicky Byrne raise awareness for St Vincent de Paul's Christmas appeal.
Fresh from sharing the stage with Victoria's Secret Angels, Hozier (real name Andrew Byrne) was back in town today to give a helping hand at the Rte 2fm Radiothon.
