RSCI signs up Typetec

IRISH IT provider Typetec has inked a €2m contract with the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI).

The company currently employs more than 40 people in Ireland and said that the partnership would position RCSI at the forefront of curriculum delivery via Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

The contract will roll out over a three-year period and involves a one to one laptop programme and IT support with a team of Typetec's people onsite permanently.

RCSI Deputy CEO Terry McWade said that the college sees the value in using technology to enhance the educational experience and has been at the forefront of innovation in education technology.
