Roz limbers up for Phoenix Park run

Roz Purcell and Emmerdale star Tony Audenshaw were putting their best foot forward at the launch of the 2015 'Great Ireland Run'.

The event, which takes place in Dublin's Phoenix Park on Saturday, April 11 is sponsored by retailers Spar and features a 10k race as well as a mini run for 3 to 8-year-olds and a junior run for 9 to 15-year-olds.

Olympic legend Kenenisa Bekele is a former winner.

Last year Japheth Korir of Kenya won the men's race, in which Mark Hanrahan was the top Irish finisher in 6th.

Iwona Lewandowska of Poland won the women's race, with former European cross country champions Fionnuala Britton and Catherina McKiernan finishing 4th and 7th respectively.

Entering the race costs €29 per person.
