Rory McIlroy may be based in the US for most of his golfing career, but proving home is where the heart is he has bought a three-storey apartment block in his native Holywood in Co Down.
The building has been divided up into five apartments, but the 25-year-old golfing champion is planning on converting it into his dream mansion.
Rory has reportedly hired an interior designer to transform the property into his dream home that boast views from Holywood across Belfast Lough.
The whole property is spread across 8,262sq ft and each apartment was individually listed for £400,000 (€508,000), putting the price of the whole property at a cool £2m (€2.6m).
This pales in comparison to the massive £7.2m (€9m) that Rory recently paid for a new mansion in Jupiter, Florida.
McIlroy's recent purchase comes two years after he put his former Northern Ireland home up for sale for £2m.
The 14-acre estate in Moneyreagh, Co Down, boasted five bedrooms, a gymnasium, and, naturally fitting for the sports star - a golf practice area complete with a putting green and driving range.
He sold it because of increasing overseas commitments.
It is also thought that the Moneyreagh estate was where he was planning to set up home with his now ex-fiancee Caroline Wozniacki.
