RORY McIlroy and his fiancé Caroline Wozniacki were all smiles despite enduring bouts of bad luck on the golf course and tennis court.
A rules violation cost McIlroy two shots and his second place position at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship on Saturday.
On the same day, Wozniacki was knocked out of the Australian open.
However, they seemed totally besotted with each other yesterday despite another sporting weekend ending without success.
McIlroy blasted golf's "stupid rules" after he was punished for an incorrect drop in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
While McIlroy had thought he finished at 11 under par, a single shot behind leader Craig Lee, he was informed before he signed his card of a possible infraction by Dave Renwick, the caddie of his playing partner Ricardo Gonzalez.
It was determined that McIlroy's left foot had been touching a white line denoting a spectator crossing and a two-shot penalty was applied, losing him his second-place position.
Over at the Australian Open, Wozniacki was knocked out of the competition after losing out to Spain's Garbine Muguruza in the third round.
Wozniacki failed to break her competitor's serve despite having five chances in the second set and was beaten 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 by the Spanish 20-year-old.
