Shamrock Rovers have announced that the club will play host to Robbie Keane's LA Galaxy next year.
The Dublin outfit officially confirmed the fixture yesterday, revealing that the match will be played in Tallaght Stadium on February 21.
The game is expected to be a sell-out with Robbie Keane, who originally hails from the west-Dublin suburb, playing in the stadium for the first time since its opening in 2009.
LA Galaxy recently won the MLS Cup, the United States' national championship, with the Irish striker scoring the winner in the final and also being named the competition's Most Valued Player.
Rovers chairman Jonathan Roche expressed his delight at the announcement of the fixture, looking forward in particular to the appearance of Keane.
"We look forward to welcoming everyone from the club here, and particularly welcoming Robbie Keane home.
"We know Robbie spends a lot of time in the area when he's home from the US, so I'm sure it will be great for him to finally play in Tallaght Stadium," Mr Roche said on the club's official website.
It won't be the first time that Rovers have hosted a high-profile preseason friendly, having welcomed Real Madrid to the ground in 2009.
The fixture was €94m signing Cristiano Ronaldo's first appearance for the Spanish team.
