Restaurants set to cook up a bank holiday feast during food festival

Running on the Sunday and Monday of the August bank holiday weekend, this will be a fun day out for all the Family. Foodies rejoice - a free-to-enter food festival will kick off for the first time in Temple Bar this weekend.
Fiestaval aims to bring together flavours from around the globe as top restaurants from the city centre showcase their very best grub.
Head chef with Gallagher's Boxty House Dave Power (30) said the festival will be "showcasing restaurant-quality street food".
"We are very traditional Irish food with a modern twist and for Fiestaval we will be doing variations of the stuff that we would normally do in the restaurant," Dave told the Herald.
Lina and Shiva Gautam own the award-winning Nepalese restaurant Montys of Kathmandu and said it was tricky cutting their menu to sampling size.

"It's difficult to showcase everything, so we are just doing a small menu to be practical," Lina said.
Director of marketing and events with the Temple Bar Traders, Claudine Murray, said the event is for families and foodies alike.
"What we are doing is showcasing really good food and giving people reasonably-priced food," she said.
Fiestaval takes place from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday and Monday this August bank holiday weekend.
