Relaxing Christmas for Sarah before she starts debating new career

Top model Sarah Morrissey is looking forward to leaving the diet at the door and indulging this Christmas.

The Dublin native is known for her enviable trim figure but admits she will be tucking into the turkey and all the trimmings over the holidays.

"I'll be eating and drinking over Christmas, the usual for me," Sarah told the Diary.

Sarah (30) married her long-term partner, St Patrick's Athletic coach and former Derry goalkeeper Pat Jennings Jr, last June and is looking forward to spending the festive season with both their families.

The couple will join both sets of parents at Sarah's childhood home on Christmas Day.

"We're going to my parents for Christmas dinner, but Pat's parents are flying over from London to be with us too, which will be lovely and it'll be nice to all be together," she said.

Sarah (inset) is not ready to hang up her heels just yet but she revealed that in the New Year she's hoping to start thinking about a new career.

"Next year I'll sit down and look at different avenues," she said. "Every year I do actually think about the following year and what I'll go into, but then it ends up being busy with modelling so I hold off and before I know it, it's the start of a new season."

The former Miss Ireland admits she would love to go into presenting or radio work, but admits she could never be an actress.

"I'll never go into acting, it's just not for me and I'm not very good at it," she said. "I like television presenting because that's just being yourself so you're not trying to be anyone else."

Presenting would be a natural step for the blonde beauty as she previously presented on RTE's Two Tube and TTV as a showbiz reporter.

She also revealed that radio would also be a career she would like to explore.

"I would really love to get into styling, but my dream job would be presenting as I did that for two years in RTE, I'd also love a radio programme," she said.

"I'm a hard worker and I'll do what I have to do to earn a living."

She regularly flies over and back to London for work, especially during catwalk season, but Sarah admits she would never contemplate a move there.

"I'm very happy here and I work over there quite a lot. I just won't stay for a month at a time any more," she said. "I'm too old for it now, doing the rounds on the Tube with the kids and standing in queues for castings."

Before Sarah starts debating a new career, the stylish model will be jetting off somewhere sunny on her long-awaited honeymoon in the New Year.

"I'd really like a honeymoon for Christmas. We never got one after the wedding as we had to go straight back to work so I'd love a holiday or spa weekend break for just the two of us. Something to look forward to in January," she said.
