RECOVERY

A MUM-of-3 allegedly beaten in her home still can't recognise members of her family.

Dubliner Nicola Murray (28) suffered a serious brain injury after an alleged assault from her fiance.

The devoted mum spent weeks fighting for her life in Beaumont Hospital after she was found unconscious in her home in February of this year.

It emerged today that Ms Murray does not recognise some members of her family after she sustained a deep wound to the brain during the alleged assault.

A court heard the care worker has since regained consciousness and has been moved to the National Rehabilitation Centre in Dun Laoghaire.

However, the young mum-of-three recently wandered out of the centre and made her way home to Rialto, believing she was returning home from a Christmas party.

RECOVERY

Ms Murray's family now fear for her long-term recovery after she was allegedly punched and kicked in the head by her partner.

Her mother Angela rang the emergency services some 15 hours after the alleged incident when she was called to her daughter's home in Rialto by a concerned friend.
