Rape trial hears 'memory gap'

AN alleged rape victim has admitted that she does not know if she kissed the accused because there were "huge gaps in my memory".

"I honestly don't know if I kissed him. All I know is there was a point when I tried to stop him and he did not let me," she told the Central Criminal Court.

A 34 year-old man has pleaded not guilty to raping the woman at his Dublin home on July 2, 2011. He has also denied a charge of raping and sexually assaulting her friend on the same night.

The trial continues.
