SO now you know -- never ignore the advice of a German octopus named Paul.
The 'psychic squid' is fast becoming the real star of the World Cup.
Paul the octopus predicted Spain would beat Germany in last night's semi-final, keeping his 100pc record in the tournament so far.
And it was a case of sweet revenge as the last match he got wrong was the Euro 2008 final when he wrongly plumped for Germany ahead of the Spaniards.
The octopus has now picked the winner of all six German World Cup matches -- including their 1-0 loss to Serbia.
His latest prediction led to groans of disappointment across Germany after he went for a container with a morsel of food in it bearing the Spanish flag.
The octopus, considered by some to be the most intelligent of all invertebrates, was again given the choice of picking food from two different transparent containers lowered into his tank.
The container Paul opens first is regarded as his pick for the match.
So if you're wondering who to put money on for the final, ignore all advice from the likes of Dunphy and Giles or Lawro and Hansen, and keep your eyes glued to that fish tank.
