GARDAI were today probing the "suspicious" death of a 21-year-old man who died from a single stab wound to the heart.
The body of Polish national Krystian Morawski was found in the upstairs kitchen of a house at Moorefield Park estate in Newbridge, Co Kildare.
Garda forensic experts were today examining a kitchen knife which was used in the incident.
Emergency services were called to the house, which was divided into three apartments, at around 5.30am on Monday.
Mr Morawski had been living in one of the apartments with his mother, Julita Kulczynska, his stepfather, Boguslaw Kulczynski, and his five-year-old brother, Szymon.
Neighbours described Krystian Morawski as a "nice quiet young man".
"He was a nice, good-looking young fellow, it is awfully sad," a neighbour said.
Resident Cora Donohue said there had been a "lot of noise up and down the road" in the housing estate late on Sunday night.
