Piper car 'hit teen cyclist at less than 5mph'

Actress Billie Piper is believed to have been involved in a car accident with a 16-year-old cyclist in London.

Piper (right) was reportedly driving at under 5mph when the incident happened. The star (31), who has starred in Doctor Who and The Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, is currently appearing on stage in London where she plays a tabloid news editor.

An ambulance service spokesman said: "We were called to a collision involving a car and a bike. We treated a boy for a shoulder injury."

A police spokesman said: "Officers were called to Goods Way, King's Cross, by the London Ambulance Service on July 29 to reports of a collision between a vehicle and a cyclist."

He said that enquiries continue into the incident which involved "a black VW Golf which was in collision with a cycle being ridden by a 16-year-old male. The female driver stopped at the scene".
