IRISH people over 50 years of age are more active online mobile users than teens.
Ireland is a global front runner in the adoption of mobile services to access the internet, research from Accenture found.
Up to 77pc of all internet users surveyed used mobile devices to surf the net, according to Mobile Web Watch 2012. And a total of 53pc of consumers use mobile devices to conduct banking transactions.
Surprisingly, Irish people over 50 are more active on mobile blogging, accessing online communities or micro networking sites than those aged 14-19.
