SENATOR David Norris has returned from his Cyprus hideout having hatched a plan for a last-ditch Presidency bid.
He will plead with TDs and senators for a nomination today before going public with his fresh ambitions on tomorrow's Late Late Show.
The senator (left) spent the summer at his holiday home in Cyprus.
Since he returned to Dublin, his representatives have made approaches to former supporters to see if he can regain their trust.
He withdrew from the Aras race last month after a scandal over writing a letter of clemency for his former partner.
He is thought to have at least 10 TDs and Senators still willing to support him and he has added new supporters from Joe Higgins' United Left Alliance.
United Left Alliance TD Joan Collins said that Norris' public support was at 35 to 40pc.
