Noonan to talk credit

FINANCE Minister Michael Noonan has said the issue of Ireland seeking a backstop credit line when it exits the bailout next month is "finely balanced".

Mr Noonan has headed for talks with the Dutch Finance Minister, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, on the issue.

Mr Dijsselbloem is currently chair of the Euro Group of Ministers and Mr Noonan said in that context, he would be providing important "political information" which he would use when briefing Cabinet colleagues on the issue.
