There was no request made for the use of Charlie Haughey's former yacht Celtic Mist for the filming of the RTE drama.
Following the former Taoiseach's death, the Haughey family donated the boat to the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG), which restored Celtic Mist and now use it as a marine research vessel.
The restoration and refit took eight months and cost €80,000.
At the time, the IWDG praised the donation as a "huge gesture" to their organisation.
The boat was recently used to film humpback whales off the coast of Kerry for The One Show on BBC.
Deirdre Slevin, manager of Celtic Mist, confirmed that neither RTE nor Charlie's producers were in touch to use the boat for the series.
"The boat is used for marine research and is all over Ireland, depending on where the whales are," she explained.
