'Nixers' hit economy

IRELAND'S black economy is growing considerably and could cost the real economy some €22.5bn this year.

Business group ISME estimates that the cost of black economy activities is around 14pc of GDP, which would equate to €22.5bn this year.

ISME Chief Executive Mark Fielding said the "nixer" culture is very much alive and well.
