A WOMAN at the centre of a legal victory with implications for asylum cases was yesterday awarded substantial legal costs against the State.
It also emerged yesterday the Justice Minister Dermot Ahern had last June revoked the deportation order against Abosede Oluwatoyin Meadows, but she was not made aware of this until recently.
Ms Meadows (27) came here from Nigeria in 1999 but was unable to pursue a career in nursing because she was refused refugee status and launched a protracted legal battle to stay here.
