NI aims to slash tax

Northern Ireland is looking for a cut in corporation tax from 26pc to 10pc, undercutting the rate in the Republic.

First Minister Peter Robinson revealed plans for the economy in Belfast yesterday during a Chamber of Commerce event. Mr Robinson said one of the Executive's most significant achievements had been its ability to attract new and better jobs to Northern Ireland from abroad, particularly from the US.
