TEEN HEROES TO GET AWARD

THE three teenagers who saved a girl from drowning at a north Dublin beach are to be nominated for a national bravery award.

The heroes – David Grant, Alex May and Ben Graham – all 14 – will be put forward by the Irish Coastguard.

The Skerries unit of the Irish Coastguard will be nominating them.

The three said they did not hesitate to go to the aid of Shelomith Freeman (13) when they heard her friends shouting for help close to Balbriggan Harbour.

Shelomith is now out of intensive care.
