New dawn for DJ Adrian as he makes radio comeback

THE king of night-time radio will kick-off his new mid-morning show on 98FM next week.

After leaving FM104 and his popular Phoneshow behind him, Adrian Kennedy and his old on-air sidekick Jeremy Dixon will take over the airways at 98FM on weekdays from 10am to 12pm to present Dublin Talks.

The daily slot, starting next, Monday will focus on what the pair do best – talking to Dubliners about issues that matter to them.

"In the months that we've been off the air we've developed a very loyal following of 21,000 Facebook fans that can't wait to see us back in business," said Kennedy.

Station manager Michael Brett added: "We've been looking for a daytime show that will really get to the heart of what the city's talking about, and Adrian and Jeremy are the perfect hosts for this. They're a fantastic addition to our line-up which also includes Ray Foley and Dermot & Dave."

Kennedy has endured nearly five months of gardening leave since leaving FM104 last September.

He and producer Dixon were poached last year by 98FM.

Shortly afterwards, Kennedy was told in a phone call that he was replaced by host Chris Barry, but because he is still employed at FM104 as a presenter he was unable to work in any other capacity.
