Natasha hopes music novel will hit right note

THE daughter of former Miss Ireland Michelle Rocca is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Cecelia Ahern and Marian Keyes with her debut novel The Industry.

Natasha Rocca Devine (29) said: "I'm already writing the second book now as it's going to be a trilogy and I'm working on a small set of children's books. My dream would be to write full-time."

Natasha's novel is based on a Kerry-born singer who leaves Ireland for London to follow her dreams.

DOOMED

"My mum made a promise she wouldn't read it until it had been launched," she said. "We're very similar. If she doesn't like it I'm doomed!"

Natasha's father, former Ireland and Arsenal footballer John Devine, has, however, given the book his stamp of approval.

"He loved it, which I was delighted about because he's a complete alpha male, so I'm pleased it will appeal to a male audience," she said.

The Industry is released on February 12.
