NAMA chief to advise Noonan

THE NAMA chairman will advise the Minister for Finance on a financial strategy in relation to the State assets.

Minister for Finance Michael Noonan has selected Frank Daly (right) alongside Dennis Rooney, a quantity surveyor and former head of the International Fund for Ireland, to the body which will advise him on strategy, the appointment of directors and executive pay.

Mr Noonan announced plans to create the advisory body in his Budget speech last December, when he said it would be chaired by former HSBC chief executive Michael Geoghegan, who had just completed a review of NAMA.

Mr Noonan said all three had agreed to work for free.
